Dry with a clean, dedicated microfiber cloth using light, circular motion, not the cloth bundled with the case if it has been living in a pocket picking up grit of its own. None of these ruin a lens on the first pass. The damage is cumulative, which is why a pair wiped on a shirt for a year looks visibly hazier under bright light than one that was rinsed before every wipe.

Storage and handling between cleanings

A hard case blocks the two habits that cause the most scratching outside of cleaning itself: contact with keys or coins loose in a pocket or bag, and being set down lens-side-down on a table or counter. When a case is not at hand, folding the glasses and resting them temple-down, lenses facing up, is the safer position. Leaving glasses on a car dashboard or anywhere in direct sun raises the lens temperature enough over repeated exposure to affect how well the coating stays bonded, the same mechanism as a hot-water rinse. None of this is specific to any one brand of coated lens; it applies to any pair with a surface treatment, blue-light or otherwise.

What coating damage looks like, and why it cannot be undone

Once the coating layer is compromised, no cleaning method or product puts it back the way it was. The coating is a manufactured layer, not a polish, so a damaged patch stays damaged. At that point there are two options: live with the cosmetic wear, since the lens underneath is usually still structurally sound, or replace the pair.
